Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.
Granted, we could allow people to question what we believe, but if a pattern can be seen which discloses proselytizing against those beliefs, then those who are responsible for doing this should be banned from our forum as they are only trying to be disruptive and antagonistic.
If we get the numbers, soon you won't be allowed to teach your anti-SDA doctrine anywhere in here!
It is evident that you have one thing in mind. You want to destroy the identity of our Church, and make converts out of its members. We may not be able to stop you in here, but mark my words, the Lord will stop you in due time!
You have no idea what you are up against, but soon you will. It will be a most humbling experience!
I don't share in Woob's paranoia but I do agree that we should be careful not to give the impression that the SDA church has the corner on teachings that may not be entirely in harmony with what the Bible teaches. Many generally held Christian doctrines fall into this category and are held by some who may be opposed to select teachings of the SDA denomination.
Organized? Isn't it really just Woob complaining again. If whining is organization my children must have been equivalent to the Fortune 500.

I have been predicting from the start that this subforum is depised and that some would try to find ways to take it over and rid the forum of our presence once and for all.
We have addressed this issue before. However, apparently talking about locking people out (of our own area no less) warranted flaming RV's and a locked thread.

that is unfortunately but not surprising.... perhaps Sophia can find out if the progressive forum is still independent of the other area... sounds like someone in the traditional section is still beating the drums of war....
would you be applying for the job of prophet? I have it on good word that ummm there is a errrr, ummmm church that needs one as their prophet passed away in 1915.... I think they are getting desperate cause the average member in the pew is becoming suspicious of all these new books coming out with the prophet's name as the author.... how can one write a book when one is dead?

The PSDA forum is subject to site-wide rules. And as long as we connect the rules to what the site-wide rules state we are allowed to implement the PSDA forum will likewise be subject to those rules.
And by the way, no non-SDA has a right to vote on anything in here when it comes to making up the rules.
So don't let the formers fool you. You have more control over what goes on in here than they want you to see you have. You just need to group together and put it to good use!
They made their decision to leave our church, and when they did that they lost their voice in here. For now they will do whatever they can to try to push their anti-SDA agenda, but with the help of everyone in here we can surely put a stop to this.
it is not enough that he could post in the traditional section, the main section and the d&d section to his hearts content, but no, he wants to come to the progressive section and try to run things here..... talk about control issues.... sheesh...Is anyone suprised that I said I did not believe he had changed when he came back?
People continually allow themselves to be snowballed by him, open up thier arms to him, chastise those who call him on his dysfunctional behaivor and then the forum suffers the results.
I have just about had it with this continuing cycle. What does it take for some definitive action to finally be taken against him?
