Option to filter certain forums

Seemingly half of the threads nowadays are political in nature so it would be good to filter out specific forums the user chooses so that only threads in 'New Posts' etc show threads that are non-political or filtering out denominational forums you are not a member of etc.

I actually don't like what certain topics do to me. I'm usually a very sensitive soul and promote peace, so in reality, acrimonious political debate just doesn't suit my nature. I know it sounds bizarre of me to say, "like WHY click on them then?" but those threads are just too tempting to NOT click on.

Before you know it, you're throwing rocks at a guy you'd probably otherwise share a beer with. Never have I ever actually enjoyed typing out walls of egotistical bluster. I just feel guilty afterwards if anything.

Plus, does anyone actually CARE about my political opinions? You can answer that honestly - in fact, no, I'll do it for you. "No".

Meanwhile, the various facets of my theology lay written on the back of failed betting slips, post it notes and cigarillo packets and stuffed into a 23 year old bible never to be seen by anyone.

Agree also, it bypasses the SOP, but you're still responsible.
