  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

All three are very good. On the first two, I would consider changing the color of text on the login.

I see you're a PHP person, I prefer ASP, myself.
Nope, I do both, mostly ASP, but when it comes to forums, the big boys are written in PHP such as vbulletin which is my favorite forum software.

Trans Am: I would like this one the best if there weren't a box in the picture - sort of faded - that just stops. It should not be there, or if it must be, it needs to have a purpose. Also, the username/password boxes are over the picture, and that bothers me because you have to highlight the text to read it. Also, the car is more of a pink-red than the vivid red of the rest of the layout.

2nd Gen: first of all, ugly car. ;) Second, I have the same comments as I had on the first (with the faded box and the user/pass issue).

Simple: there needs to be something else going on at the top, on the right. It looks unbalanced up there.

Actually I forgot all about the **** PM box when I design it.

That box serves a big purpose, if you are a member, it shows how many private messages you have.

However I forgot all about how it might look if you aren't signed on as a user of the forum.

And for the pink comment, that must be your montior settings, cuase I pulled teh colors from the photo themselves. And it looks fine on my 20 inch plasma and my 17 inch plasma.

BTW: I noticed your from the UK so your taste in cars doesn't count. You people know nothing about classic American muscle cars, LOL

I'm just kidding of course. The cars belong to members of the club, and I was requested to use them.

Oh dear. ;) And you're probably right about the colours.

Oh, well, you're forgiven, then.

And the attachment you showed me looks much better. Good luck on the guest thing.

You can't offer registered members a choice in what view they get in their forum profile?

DanielB
Registered members can choose between the different styles. Just like they can on this website.

I am about to design 2 more styles.
