opening backed up files

Hello,

I am trying to open up outlook express folders. I backed up the folders to burn on to a cd. Now I need to open a folder to view the emails on a different computer.
the folders end with the dbx file extentions.

Any advice will be greatly helpful

The only way I know how to do that is to install outlook express into a clean folder and then copy the files right into the folder....sometimes u need to put the files into the folder first and then install outlook into that folder....at least that's how I remember doing it for outlook and for incredimail and eudora....Also, there is a tool that automatically does a backup of your outlook express, I'll look for the addy and post it this evening (2:15 here now)......

Also, while I'm thinking about this, I don't think Outlook express saves the data/e-mail in the outlook express folder, I believe it saves that info with the users profile in windows.....but I'll have to look more into that, haven't dealt with outlook in about 3 years.....
