CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

[for the sake of being sure i'm ok with the rules, i plan on making this a sticky. being a new mod and me trying to remember if i have to have a supervisor do this, or if a mod can make it sticky, i will edit this out once/if this is made into a sticky.]

just a thread for all those who need prayer to post it in a sticky. better way to keep us remembering all the needs of us here that need prayed for cause sometimes the threads get lost cause of post activity and we forget about the prayer requests we all give.

one request i have is, foriveness. before my big move, i'm going to be contacting my dad for the first time in over 2 years. i really could use some prayer that if nothing is reconciled between him and i, that God at least forces me to forgive him at all costs. my own struggles with this don't really matter with this, and my free-will to make the choice or not make the choice to forgive is pointless at this point, but it's something i need to do regardless. any prayers would be appreciated.

Thanks for starting the prayer request thread.

I am feeling much betters since my last thread here, but figured I could always use all the prayers I can get, lol.

So, shall I list them by importance, alphabetically, numerically or catergorically?

Let's see:

PRAISE: Thank God I didn't loose my faith the other day. *whew*

Wasn't as a close of a call as it "could have been" but happy I didn't, none the less.

Pray that I won't be so easily discouraged in my walk next time? How's that for a start?

Please pray for my children (2 daughters -- one mentally handicapped -- and 1 son, ages 21, 19 & 18) will each have a personal encounter with the Lord and come to know Him as their personal Saviour

Please pray for the same for my fiance. He is such a wonderful, loving person with a loving heart.

Please pray I will be a good witness to them all -- a good Mom and a good partner -- kind, loving, generous, unselfish, and open about spiritual things and about the Lord without being pushy or "religion-y" in a turn-off way.

And last, please pray the Lord will work out the situation with our house so we can stay here and won't have to move. (Long story short).

pray for my sleep.

odd request i know but i'm starting to have some serious problems. i go into to the doctor tuesday to talk to my doctor about my problems.

mere example is i have to be at work at 7am, only 6.5 more hours and be up by 5:45ish, so 5.5 hours, and i''ve been trying to sleep since about close to 10. i'm off monday and tuesday so today i'm going to i guess, go and get sosme things at the gas station, stay up for about an hour or so, lay down on my back for an hour or so. i have 5 alarms set, and have had to have 4 alarms set before this.

so any prayers or at least thoughts would be appreciated.

sorry to be a bearer of bad news, but no sleep yet. the sad thing is, i'm tired now but i have to be up in 3 hours.

i still request prayer. after tonight i'm off two days so that'll help some, but it's going to be a long day today.

thank you all for your prayers with my sleep. i'm starting Lunesta this weekend, and getting everything back on track. finally woke up this morning for work like i wanted to. went to bed at a good time. just have to keep this up. but thanks again for the prayers.

My church is small. I have maybe half a dozen people there who are profoundly jealous and obstructive towards me. half a dozen in 30 is a huge percentage. The vibes are getting me down. I feel vibes in my bones (am I mixing metaphors yet?) I'm quite sensitive to atmosphere- but I was surprised t'other week just how deep it runs when a lady I presumed to be a dear friend sought me out and asked forgiveness- she said she had been thinking badly of me, and was jealous of me in a list of ways that I don't think I can do much to control.

So I said 'i forgive you' which I meant with all my heart- but if even she has disliked me so, I dread to think how deep it runs. Part of me wishes I had said 'leave it with me- I'll get back to you'!

See I have been plucked from the ranks into leadership. I am relatively new , compared to these old stagers, and they hate me for it.

And that is what is making me ill.


BUT...

if DS is coming to faith, and if moving church is to be part of this, well, there you go- problem solved. I would give it all up in exchange for his salvation- and that's a Christian universalist speaking
