[Open] Contractions

Okay, I did something stupid the other night. I had 3 contractions in my spinal column that lasted a total of 1 and a half minutes, but since they stopped I didn't think anything of it. Well, then I noticed yesterday that my son is head's down and his head is in my pelvis. I have a doctor's appointment this week, but I'm curious how long after this happens is it usually before the baby's born?

I don't know the answer, but it sure sounds exciting!! Wow I can't believe how many of you ladies are due within weeks of each other! So exciting.

Baby's head low is okay, keep doing your kegels

Wow! It certainly sounds like you're close.

It could be weeks (if you've got that long) or it could be tomorrow. My first didn't actually fully engage until labour started, then it was 4 hours start to finish. The others engaged at least a week before delivery (a very uncomfortable week)

Well my baby's been head down for about 4 weeks now but i don't think that i'm anywhere close to baby arriving.

Baby can be head down for a fair few weeks.

Let us know what they say after your appointment this week

Mine all moved head down quite early. However, if baby is moving down in your pelvis, you are getting pretty close

Hmmm, only the doctor can help you with that one, I think it depends if it's engaged or not.... then I've heard it can be three weeks afterwards... however, the baby can change positions..... I thought mine dropped a few weeks ago because I could breath easier.... but that comes and goes.
