Visions of Fire
“I think it’s little more than a dream, sir…it appears as if they actually believe what they say to be true.”
Fires licked the sky, only to settle once more in their place amongst the trees. In the background a fierce wind blew, but it seemed as if they fire needed neither wind nor wood to fuel it. Onward and onward it burned, rushing forward into the inky blackness of night, gobbling up whole villages and leaping over rivers to destroy the green that lay on the other side. Suddenly all that could be seen was the raging fire, engulfing up everything in sight. The bright colors of red, orange, and yellow flickered at every moment, until finally all was darkness…all was burnt…nothing was ever the same again…
In a small, nomadic tribal clan in the far northwestern corner of the world a child awakes after a strange dream. Two days later they tell their parents, and five days after that the child is found dead in their sleep, a slit across their throat. The parents of the child run away from their clan to the nearest settlement, but unfortunately the people there can't understand anything that they are trying to say. Later, the parents seem to disappear in a swell of humanity but are truly hiding and biding their time to strike their clan back.
Three months later, in the large, sprawling city of Tritan, another child dreams the same dream. Unlike the first child, however, this one says nothing of the dream to anyone...at least, not to anyone who would blab it to everyone else in extreme worry. Soon a group of 10 know of it, and swear to keep it a secret to the majority of the public. However, they do tell one person: a sleuth who goes by the name "chief" and nothing else. Confused, "chief"says the above quote (very top) to his partner (who, for most of the RP, is nameless), and together they try to puzzle out what the dream could mean, while also trying to convince the one who had the dream that there were no negative connotations...

The italic section above is the dream that the two children had.
