i kinda have to shake my head a little at the christiam forums slogan .
do they realy think they can unite christians into one body ?

Their is only one way to do that .one would have to see into each heart and that person's would have to be God.
And he alone unites those who are truly Christian into his body of believer's

it is kinda troubling the boast of the slogan .

I perfer we as Lutheran stick to the Boast God gave us and that boast

is "Christ and him crucified for all '.

and let God do the uniting.

Not quite amen for me.

"And he alone unites those who are truly Christian into his body of believer's."

That doesn't mean that we don't help in any way we can. Even though it is only God that can change a heart, do you think that we should do nothing to help? I recommend a good book, "Growing your faith by giving it away." by York Moore. He is the leader of evangilism at InterVarsity for the entire midwest. It's a good book on sharing your faith and how to. But in addition to that, it also tells great reason why we should do so.

I'm sorry, while rereading my post, I have realized how arrogant that sounded. I didn't mean it the way it sounded. I had to go to work and I did a rush job with it. My true intent was just a friendly little reminder to share whenever possible.

God bless.

I totally agree with rockytrails. However, eventhough it is only God that does it, at least CF helps to try and get us together. Maybe not unite us, per se. But, the only way the different denominations are ever going to get united is by getting the groups together, and having them discuss their differences. When people can finally learn to agree to disagree, and to realize that Lutherans are right (just teasing, just teasing lol...)... But, no, really. CF gives an opportunity for those of us who may not have direct interaction with other denominations to be able to discuss our faiths. So, yeah, CF doesn't unite on its own, but CF does give a place for God to work through people, so that the goal of unity can eventually come about.

Baby steps, my friends, baby steps lol...
