  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I've just joined a group that listens to sermons online and discusses them. We do one a week.

I wonder if this is something we could do here, or if others would like a link to the place we are doing it - we are all evangelicals, so it's probably similar theology.

I would love to share with you some of the wonderful preachers in the Sydney diocese. I have loved listening to some of the sermons from overseas.

Anyone keen?

Sounds great! I like to redeem the time where I have to sit and wait (either for my kids at activities or in dr's offices) by listening to sermons, lectures, audio magazines, etc. My husband gave me an MP3 player for my birthday and it has been one of the most useful things I have ever owned.

I just finished listening to a Dick Lucas sermon on Psalm 1. It was very good, and I can't help but love his very proper english accent.

Here's a link if you're interested. I'd love to hear thoughts.

I wonder if I should have started a new thread???

Not sure if this just got lost in the CF server difficulties, or if nobody is interested or what.

Here's a second sermon for anyone who is interested.

It's by Phillip Jensen - who is the dean of the Cathederal in the Sydney Anglican Diocese. I think you'll like him.

Select the first one in the Tough Questions lot. "Are you so dull". I haven't heard it, but have heard people say he has an excellent grasp of Mark. So lets give that a go.
