Men cannot ordain a man. It is God who ordains him and sends him to the people He has prepared him for. Men simply recognize that call. It cannot be done online.

While I agree that online ordination is a waste of money - the notion that God ordains men invisibly is a bit odd.

How does one determine if their pastor is "ordained"?

When the Lord calls a man to pastor He prepares him to preach Christ in all His person and glory. When men hear the truth from a man of God there is always two responses: some believe and the rest are hardened.

If a pastor does not preach Christ from all of the Scriptures then he is not called of God.

In the Old Testament book of Jeremiah, we see in verse 5:

"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." -Jer. 1:5 (KJV)

In the Hebrew to English version, it reads:

"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations." (link)

The Hebrew word used here is roughly translated "Yatsar". Hebrew Lexicon: Source

"Definition
to form, fashion, frame
  1. (Qal) to form, fashion
    1. of human activity
    2. of divine activity 1a
  2. of creation 1a
    1. of original creation 1a
    2. of individuals at conception 1a
    3. of Israel as a people 1a
  3. to frame, pre-ordain, plan (fig. of divine) purpose of a situation)
  4. (Niphal) to be formed, be created
  5. (Pual) to be predetermined, be pre-ordained
  6. (Hophal) to be formed"
Kinda makes "the notion that God ordains men invisibly is a bit odd" wrong.

God Bless

Till all are one.
