Was Paul saved when he wrote “if we deny Him, He will deny us”? Is Paul teaching Timothy that he can’t lose his salvation?As I mentioned, if salvation can be lost, then it is not truly a gift or an expression of God's love. Rather, it becomes a reward or compensation for my faithfulness to God.
So we deserve salvation because we believe in Christ? Is that what you’re saying? Because if we don’t deserve salvation for believing in Christ then it absolutely is a gift of grace. Isn’t it?
But that understanding of salvation isn’t supported by scripture. Did you read the passages I quoted?My point is that salvation is not earned through belief alone. Salvation is a gift granted to us by the mercy of God; it is not something we can achieve through our own efforts. Therefore, if we cannot earn salvation through our abilities, we also cannot lose it based on our abilities

If we deny Him, He will deny us. What exactly does that mean?Not every verse in the New Testament discusses salvation. Paul's writing to 2 Timothy in Chapter 2 focuses on living a life dedicated to Jesus.

You don’t know that your name is written in the book of life because those names are written according to God’s foreknowledge. He knows your future, you don’t.My salvation is assured, my name is written in the book of life, and no one can remove me from Jesus' hand.
The Greek word used is Harpazo which means to seize, snatch, or take by force. It refers to a third party trying to take something by force. It doesn’t not simply mean to remove it is specifically in reference to a removal by force. Good point, I often see people say that all we have to do to be saved is believe, salvation is not of works, but then somehow they say that if we have to continue to believe then somehow believing becomes a work. Absolutely ridiculous. Believing to be saved isn’t a work but somehow continuing to believe in order to be saved all the sudden becomes a work. People struggle with OSAS because they sometimes overlook how we are saved at first. Whether you believe in Arminian theology, which says salvation can be lost, or Calvinist theology, which believes salvation is eternal, both agree that salvation is a gift from God.
When I received the gift of salvation, it was not something I earned. Both sides agree that salvation is given by the grace of God rather than as reward. Therefore, if salvation cannot be earned through good works, faithfulness, or righteousness, how can it be lost through one's actions?
