Does anyone else notice that the scores for the USA are kind of "off"?????

the new scoring system is seriously messed up. tie breaker??? wow...now I'm only watching it to cheer for US. but integrity of the sport has gone way out the window for me.

Yeah I thought that was a lil weird, I mean it shouldn't be so hard and fast and its obvious the judges could've watched the replays n judged it.

I was wondering if anyone had mentioned that. I wondered when I watched - she's so tiny! China's reasoning is that Americans are always 'robust'. Seriously? Even the rest of your team is a lot larger than her!

I don't know if the age scandal is real or just hype, but I DO hope the IOC actually looks into it! They let SO much slide with these games just to do them in China. *grumble*

I had a friend disagree with me and say the Chinese team should keep the medal cause they "earned it." Even though I don't hold the girls AS accountable as the people who put them up to it, I show little sympathy when people win by lying. Besides, I don't understand why he's feeling sorry for them when it's unfair to the rest of the teams as well. Anyways...

As for real or hype...I'm leaning more towards real. One, there was that one hacker that said there was proof showing that one of the girls is 14. Two, there has already been cases in the past, even from the Chinese team, where they have lied (woo wikipedia!). I say let the medal to go the team that earned it with honest play.
