dosbox is an awesome tool to play old games and there is a website called abandonia or soemthing like that where you can download soooo many games to play through dosbox. I downloaded a game that I used to play in highschool lol.

If you have trouble working it out just PM me and I am happy to help :)
I've been wondering about how to make dosbox work in the way gog does with their single installer. I've heard it can be a bit time consuming to get to work with regular installs sometimes of older games.

I have a bunch of older games I'd like to install again but I don't want to spend 5 hours fiddling around in dosbox just trying to get it working.

If the games require Win 95/98 then your best bet is running a virtual machine if you have the Windows OS disks. I doubt that they'll run well if at all in compatibility mode. The following program allows you to run up to 8 OS.

Download VMware Player 5.0.2 - FileHippo.com

I have no idea how gog works. With abandonia games I download the file to a location on my PC, map dosbox to that location and then just run the executable to play :)

Blind post but I use Dos-Box. Its sometimes hard to figure out how to get it to work right for me since sometimes the FPS is to fast or they sound fades in and out. I found the best way though to run old games. I bought a older laptop with Win 98 and use it as my "classic" game portable lol.

Gonna have to give it a try. Not sure any of my old games will install properly, but we'll see.

I played a few games on a PC without Windows; someone gave me the computer and I used to tinker about on it; learning DOS and all that. I had a game on a floppy disc called 'Jill of the Jungle' it was a good game..

twas back in the 90s.. in the days of old, when men were bold, and women were glad of it.
