For the record, the young man in question, is an honorable man. He loves the LORD, serves Him and has been totally forthcoming. While I believe a lot of what's happened can be attributed to his youth, he would never do anything to intentionally hurt anyone. We are still friends, tho things have changed.

If God really wants two people together that badly, then letting the other person go will allow Him to demonstrate that. This is the kind of situation where it's easy to substitute your own voice for God's voice because your desires are so strong.

As the girl gets more obsessive, that becomes more smothering to the guy. That's why he's avoiding you, IMO. He said he didn't want to pursue a more serious relationship with you, but you're pushing for that anyway. Continuing to do so won't make it any better.
