  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ok, so first, I have tried to do a lot of changes lately. I have had a mindset that I wasn't going to be accepted by women because of my appearance and it has led me to pretty much just not ever take the risk. I am trying hard to change the mindset so....

I am starting with trying to make myself more confident. All of my clothes for the last few years have pretty much been all of the clothes I get at work. I decided to change that and have spent more money on new clothes the last couple of months then I usually spend in 2 years. I've gotten lots of shirts, jeans, shorts, and even some shoes. I am also working on the exercise/eating better part. Heck, i even sold my truck and bought a new car. I just needed a change.

But, I just noticed this week that my cologne bottle is about dry. I have been wearing Huge Boss XY for about a year now. I really like it, but I am thinking about making a change in this area too since I am in a mindset of change recently.

So, what are some suggestions for some good cologne that you ladies and dudes like? I don't really want anything that is fruity or flowery, but I don't want to small like engine grease either. Help me out with my change and give me some cologne ideas!!!!!

Keep in mind that a lot of ladies have allergies :D I'd rather smell a clean-smelling guy than one drenched in cologne which would probably leave me wheezing and itching lol.

Have you ever shared a picture of yourself on here, Coach? I know I have no idea what you look like, but I'm betting you're a lot more handsome than you think.

I am not talking about using cologne baths to cover up hygiene. I still shower, you know at least 1 time a week.

I understand the cologne bathing issue. That is not what I am doing. I wear deoderant/antipersperant and bath a couple of times a day. Being a big guy who likes to attempt to still be somewhat active, I do sweat between those showers and I like the cologne on the clothes to at least keep me smelling good until i get to the shower.

360 by Perry Ellis for men smells pretty good.

When I read the OP, that was the first cologne to pop in my mind. I looooooooove that smell on a guy. I tend to like colognes that just smell fresh and clean. The colognes that make me gag are heavy fragrances like Drakkar Noir.

The bolded part is why I chose that one. :)

Thanks for the suggestion so far... This aint a "poor me, I feel ugly thread!" I understand the hang up is in my head, and that is why I am changing my mindset and doing things to give my self more confidence. I really am just looking for cologne, lol!

Anywho, I am going on vacation and 2 weeks and want cologne before then, so keep the suggestions coming! I like having a couple of options when going to look for cologne.... If I know what I am looking for, that is less time I have to spend getting hounded by the perfume nazis at the counter, spraying everything that walks by.

Becky, I haven't tried any of the ones listed so far. I have mainly been using Hugo for a while, the BOSS XY for the last year. I have used some of the Calvin Klein stuff and Polo Sport in the past.

I honestly don't know jack about colognes, which is why I am asking her. Hoping I can get some advice/suggestions from people who have smelled/used a lot more than I have.
