• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Man, I am always depressed then I feel this type of peace which I call a litl higher then normal but not mania. And I have these moments of just peace and they may be triggered by something or just come in waves...Now I think so much about my past and realized that my bipolar is woven in with my faith.....It was when I started to go get help and that euphoria left. I thought the whole time I must have did something wrong...But I was being stabilized. It blows my mind to see how it all worked out. God used my hypomania to deliver me from meth. And I have been clean for seven yr's. It's amazing to see how God worked thru the mental illness I had.

I totally understand, when I had my first manic episode and was diagnosed bipolar my whole life fell appart. Losing friends etc... I fell into a deep depression and started using alcohol to self medicate. Eventually I started to pray to God and He deliver me from alcohol and gave me a new job. I feel I still have a long way to go, and also have ups and downs but overall I feel blessed. :amen:
