  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

God made his animal creations with fantastic senses of humor! Is there any little habit your pet has or a story you have of your pet that just plain ol' makes you laugh? (I apologize if this subject's been done, but I couldn't find anything.)

Here's one from me: My African Grey, Quinny, cries loudly like a dog whenever she hears a loud noise. She picked up this habit from my mother's dog who had an ear infection when my mother adopted him, so for a short while sounds caused the dog pain and he cried. Now Quinny makes the neighbors wonder what on earth we do to the dogs over here. :p

Hi awashinlove

Great thread idea!

First off, let me say that I love your African Grey story. To me, they are the most fascinating creatures. Their intelligence is simply unbelievable at times. I used to babysit one that belonged to a doctor. When the phone would ring, he would say, "Hello? Ah yes, thank you. That will be fine. Ok...bye bye now." :D It used to make me laugh so hard!

My kids do some crazy things that make me smile & laugh. I made a mistake when I adopted 2 littermates that were abandoned, Sugar & Spice. They were very malnutrioned so to get them back on their feet, I gave them milk to drink. Now Sugar knows exactly what that carton is coming out of the fridge and will harass me until she gets some. No other drink even makes her budge. I'll be sitting there drinking milk, and she'll come up to me pretending as though she wants to love on me. Then she gradually slips that paw in and touches my cup to try and entice me to lower it :) When I'm done, it doesn't matter whether or not there is a drop left, she will stick her head in the cup, run around the house with it over her head until she gets just the tiniest taste :D

My cat Spud sleeps on his back with all four paws in the air. Plus he snores fairly loudly to boot ;)

My dog Angel, (Pomchi) barks at the food in her dish for about 30 minutes ... then runs each time she barks...comes back to the bowl, and eventually works up enough courage to grab a bite out of it. It's a wonder that she doesn't starve herself to death!
