OH MY..I'm old

Going through my daily life, I have noticed that my life issues are so different and I have realized I am OLD!!!

How do we deal with that now? The knowledge that we are now "old"?

Lol, I'm not old, at least not as old as you . My wife made a comment when I hurt my back at work, she said I wasn't in my 20's anymore so I get hurt easier. My hair is turning grey (including my mustache) and I'm sure not as tough as I used to be, but at least I'm not 40!

I realized that I can't stay up as late as I thought and not feel like I had been hit by a truck. Now I wonder how I did that in college.

I personally don't consider the 30s to be old, nor do I consider myself to be old. I know people in their 50s that I don't consider to be old.

It's all in how you perceive things.

My sentiments exactly. I will be 40 in November-& while that is a milestone-I try not to see myself as old. When my sciatic nerve decides to say hello or my knees rebel-& I realize that I'm not as flexible as I was when I was 20--it's harder to see myself as still young--but I think it is in your mindset. I know people who are in their "golden years"--who are more physically active & have a healthier outlook on life than alot of people in their 20's & 30's. These are people who have decided to live while they still can!!
Mind over Matter is real & it works.
It isn't denial of reality--it is rather a choice I make to live instead of shopping for my casket!!

I just don't think it is a matter of mind set at all.

When your body, even with exercise and proper diet, hates anything after 10:30PM, then you need to face it you are getting old.

I can still listen to Avril and car dance with the best of them but man I am still getting old.

Try to make something positive out of it, and think of it as gaining another year of wisdom.

None of us are getting any younger.

I do whine (a lot) that I am getting old. I guess when I hang out with people that are up to 10 yrs younger than I am, it tends to drive that idea home. Then again sometimes they make me feel young again. I guess its all in how I look at it.

Geesh!!! I must be really weird (DON'T ANSWER THAT!! ). I get up at 4am to clock in before 5:30am!!! Nice thing is--I clock out by 2:30pm!!!. I too need my sleep-depending on how good a night I am having (tonight--not being a good one)--I am often in bed by 7-7:30pm.
