#10. 1st John 1. These verses do not say that it is the normal Christian life to have sin. They only say that if we are in darkness, it is a lie to say we got there by any other means than by sinning.
1 John 1:6-8
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and we walk in darkness, we lie and are not practicing the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
#9. The sermon on the mount is presented as a standard for living for the believer. It was actually the law being taken to the extreme and being used to accomplish it's original purpose: to show man his absolute depravity and need for a savior.
Matthew 5:1
1 And seeing the multitudes, He went up into a mountain. And when He had sat down, His disciples came to Him........
#8 John 3. The lifted up serpent in John 3 was Jesus on the cross. It is actually Jesus being risen from the dead and our believing into that death and resurrection.... hence the "new birth" or being "born again".
John 3:14-18
14 But even as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
15 so that whosoever believes into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes into Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
18 He who believes on Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed into the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
#7. Romans 7 is used to prove that Paul still had the fallen nature in him. The "duel nature" theory. This is actually Paul speaking reflectively about when he was lost.
Romans 7:15-17
15 For that which I do, I know not. For what I desire, that I do not do; but what I hate, that I do.
16 If then I do that which I do not desire, I consent to the law that it is good.
17 But now it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me.
#6. The love chapter being used for a multitude of errors such as the Bible being the "perfect thing" that causes the cessation of the gifts and that "love is better than gifts". All it is saying is that love is the best way to get the gifts to manifest. Better than coveting of 12:31.
1 Corinthians 13:8-10
8 Charity never fails. But if there are prophecies, they will be abolished; if tongues, they shall cease; if knowledge, it will be abolished.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when the perfect thing comes, then that which is in part will be caused to cease.
#5. Galatians 5. The erroneous capitalization of the word "spirit" in Gal 5. It should be small case spirit because it is referring to the fruit of our reborn spirit, and not the Holy Spirit.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
#4. The use of Heb 6 to justify OSNAS. Paul here is not even talking about salvation. He is talking about the unworkableness of a doctrine that requires Christ to be crucified over and over again as in the daily sacrifice which the Jewish believers were wanting to re-institute.
Hebrews 6:4-6
4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
#3. 2 Corin 12. The infamous "thorn in the flesh" was not sickness or any kind of eye problems. Totally bogus. It was a demon that followed him around stirring up trouble. God did not say "no"... He said "My grace is sufficient for thee..."
2 Corinthians 12:7-9
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
#2. John 1:23. Successful repentance from sin is a prerequisite for salvation. Unregenerates cannot repent. If they could they would not have to be saved.
