my heart is twisted
its torn and cut
nothing left but a pile of soot
if only it could be
that a bandage for me
would heal my broken heart
i would bandage up
my cold black heart
and see what could be
but i know
no tape could heal
no bandage fix
no voice could mend
the rift within myself
the canyon within my heart

i may forever bleed
no pain will ever cease
