scratch,

Please consider the following testimony of Jesus through the mouth of Paul.

Rom 1:28-29
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, KJV

This challenge will not work toward peace on the forum.

Well thank you for that rebuke and implying that I don't like to retain God in my knowledge and suggesting the I'm filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness,covetousness, malliciousness and am full of envy, murder debate, deciet, malignity and whispers. Yes I noted that you highlighted debate. This is a debate/discussion site if you haven't noticed.

And guess what you're here. So that must include you.

Now on to nicer things.

The pot (incenitative) has increased to 46,000,000 blessings without my solicitation.

I have also been awarded 5,000,000,000 blessings for my use towards this effort. Also without my solicitation.

So I'm not the only person with a very sincere interest.

More news for those who haven't been following the thread the pot now stands a 1,010,500,000.

Kind of indicitive of our culture isn't it? Put the offer of lots of currency on the table and sit back and watch the sideshow begin.

Think about it, by awarding those points to someone means the issue of Sabbath has been sufficiently proven. Do you really think that after the countless threads on this site about the validity of Sabbath sacredness, that now, all of a sudden, something we say will bring home the blessings?? This is hubris at it's highest... trying to grandly mock Adventists for our beliefs, as we will never, in the eyes of those holding this charade, ever prove anything about the sanctity of the Sabbath.

My advise to all Adventists on this site is to ignore this game and deny the scoffers their fun.

Consider Paul's example and teaching.

2 Cor 12:17-18
17 Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?

18 I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?
KJV

1 Tim 6:3-6
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. KJV

Let us walk in this spirit of godliness with contentment. Let us not be enticed into a quarrel over words and the meaning of words. Let us not be wise in our conceits.

Let us witness to what the Lord Jesus gives each of us as a part (particle) of his body. May one part of the body not strive with another part. We know in part and we prophesy in part. Love that suffers for the weaker members of the Body is the perfection of Christ.

Let us all cling to our Head, the Lord Jesus, and edify the members of the Body who are weaker.

He who eats herbs should not judge him who eats everything. He who counts a specific day holy, should not judge him who counts every day holy; for the Lord has given him this freedom.

Likewise he who freely eats everything and counts everyday holy, he should not despise him who is limited in his food and days; for God has limited him.

The freeman and the limited man are bound in the unity of the Spirit in the Body of Jesus Christ; even as Rebbecca had twins in her womb, but not identical twins.

I must admit I'm not a big fan of challenges like these.

I remember that, not too long ago, an SDA offered a very similar challenge. He offered blessings to the first person who could prove that God changed the day of the sabbath from the seventh day to the first day. The reality is . . . none of us who post in this forum believe that God changed the day.

I prefer to dialogue with people about what we each understand at this point in our walk . . . and then leave it there.
