Ocd??

Hi! I feel kinda guilty about starting a new thread! but i have, so i will ask my question. Does anyone here self-harm because they have OCD? i think that might be why i self harm, coz of my ocd. i asked my doctor today, and he wasnt sure that the two were related, but i have read someplace that the two can be related. and i have no other reason for doing what i do. does anyone here have ocd and self harm? and do you think the two are related?
id love to know people opinions.

I havent heard of the 2 being related but my friend has ocd & she also SI's but has been able to stop as she didnt get too deep into it.
So maybe there is somehthing, I dont know.
Just know your not alone.

I would say that there's sense in your logic. How far have you explored your SI tendencies?
Just something to think about. There could be more for you there. Stay safe!

You know, that makes sense. When I was younger my OCD was really bad. One of the things I would do was punish myself for bad things that I might have done or thought to 'make up' for them. I would hit or pinch myself as hard as I thought the sin deserved. So I can see how cutting and OCD can be related.
