I was just listening to a Net message about getting control of our thinking. We all need this You can feel like you are alone in some difficulty, but we all need help and correction and encouragement.
We are children of God; so we need to not let ourselves be limited by what we have been told about ourselves by people and what we have been thinking about ourselves. With God, we can discover the good He desires for us with Him . . . and with each other > not by ourselves!
"and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." (2 Corinthians 5:15)
Our thinking can have us isolating ourselves, not having us in sharing with our other Jesus family people. We can feel like we are on our own, but we have our Father and Jesus and the Holy Spirit and one another
So, this does not mean "positive" thinking which has us doing things we dream of mainly for our own selves. We need to pray and trust our Father to guide us and share with us while we discover
