occipital lymph nodes big or small issue?

my baby has what feels like a swollen occipital lymph node. She is teething (just cut her first two) . . . is this one of those normal baby things or something I should talk to the doc about?

I would say ask the doc.

I think it's normal. The first time I felt them, I freaked out thinking it was a brain tumor or something, lol. I rushed her to the doc and was told that's what lymph nodes are for, lol...they're doing their job. You could have it check to ease your mind, but I think it's quite normal.

Thanks. I'd be more concerned if it wasn't exactly where those nodes are supposed to be and feeling exactly like a swollen node . .. still it is hard as a first time parent not to freak out at every little thing. The node has subsided about to 1/2 of where it was at a few days ago.
