Obeying God

Today I decided that I was going to obey The Commandments. I even wrote them down and put them on my door. I was going to obey them perfectly. I know that there were more laws in the old Testament. But the commandments was going to my guide. But I know it is more just behaviour God is concerned with. I broke every commandment. I honestly don't know how you believers do it. There is so much sin in me, I can't seem to get rid of them. Determination fails me yet again.

You might want to consider the plea deal that Jesus arranged for you. It doesn't look like keeping the law is working out for ya.

Jesus fulfilled all the law, and paid for all of our shortcomings.
The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Think about the gift of eternal life. It is an UNLIMITED amount of heavenly treasure. It is a peace that passes all understanding.
Jesus Christ is the fountain of living waters. Go to him. Pray to him. Ask of him. Call upon him.

Man's efforts at best is but a broken container that holds no water.
Jesus Christ is the flawless fountain of ever-flowing rich waters. Go to him.
Pride will destroy you.
Forget about religion, denomination, titles, etc.
You are a thirsty man. Run to Jesus. He will overflow your soul with living water.
And from that point, you will delight in the commandments, as a passionate activity, not as an obligation.

My friend, I've written to you before. Your problem is you keep falling back to the Law. Trying to find righteousness within it's commands. I hope you are learning that the Law is doing in you what it was meant to do. The Law is a school master, it is meant to humble you, teach you that you are a wretched being. I can tell you without a doubt in my mind, I am unrighteous, I am wretched. It is not my own righteousness that I have hope in however. I have put on Christ, it is his righteousness that gives me such great hope. Through him, by him He has become my righteousness and much more. Each and everyone of us fall every day. We get back up, confess our sin and turn right back to our Lord and Savior. Confident in the knowledge of His mercy. Stand in His Love and Mercy, you will find rest.
