Another conspiracy in the conspiracy camp is Obamacare and in the bill there is a supposedly part of that bill where a death panel will kill senior citizens. Do you believe this is true or yet again another tin foil hat belief?

I heard of it through the grape vine but I havent seen it written or anything

Your post made me think of a short video I ran into the other day on that issue and it shows some folks actually signed a petition putting down the elderly here

That one further fueled my interest in some of his other surveys, and all but one person signed his "I am a moron survey" ^_^

But most the folks signed that first one fully aware of what it was for but there are folks who signed the same for two other petititions, and one was for killing children three and under and another over there for under five.

Seriously, sometimes I feel I live in this new alternative reality because this is just not the America I grew up in, although my own mom thought the one I grew up in was bad (compared to hers).

God bless you

If it was true, I don't think it would be too hard to produce the evidence in the bill.

In a non-market driven health care system, you will have government bureaucrats making decisions about who qualifies for what medical treatment. These decisions will make the difference between life and death for some people, hence "death panels".

Administration of any health care system involves some way of determining who gets what, whether it's done by the market or some kind of appointed commission. Who gets to decide?

Yeah, sort of like the Veterans Administration "death panels"

Its rhetoric but in effect even at the VA, or at least that is "the effect" where we see Veterans being denied their care and die

Who gets what (in care) and who gets what (in money) to make it happen as inconspicuously as possible (it would seem)

It probably brings to mind something like this

And there are "deciders" but thats not how it would work in this century (at least I wouldnt think) you can be pushed back (and forgotten) without ever seeing their faces I would think.

In a market driven health care system you will have insurance company employees making decisions about who qualifies for what medical treatment. Anybody who cannot afford the insurance. Simples. More people will die under a market driven health care system than under a socialised health care system. Obamacare is still market driven. It's not funded by the taxpayer as the NHS is in the UK.

I hate to break it to you, but insurance companies have been doing that for decades.
