If he is truly anointed (if he is truly anointed) like Cyrus in the Old Testament, does that mean he is unstoppable? Can anyone stop him, is it possible?
Just thinking outside the box. God bless.

This is an interesting question
I guess, if someone is anointed, they're anointed regardless. Look at Benny Hinn and Todd Bentley. Both have/had a bonafide anointing from God, but they went astray and did something dodgy with it. But does that mean the anointing is withdrawn? Not sure, really, but it doesn't seem like it.
If Obama is anointed (and if we agree he is, I also think it's probably wise to discern whom he's anointed by) then I guess he has a role to play, and a job to do either way, so all the puzzle pieces will go where they're supposed to.
What do the bits I've highlighted mean, please? Can't work it out, at all. Like, can't work out what it means in relation to the rest of the verses.Saul was anointed too...and we know how that went down...
2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity."
2Ti 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor.
and in the study that MrJim led me to...
Ecc 7:13 Consider the work of God;
For who can make straight what He has made crooked?
Ecc 7:14 In the day of prosperity be joyful,
But in the day of adversity consider:
Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other,
So that man can find out nothing that will come after him.
Ecc 7:15 I have seen everything in my days of vanity:
I'm not sure I care for the word "annointed" in this usage. However, I do believe God is the one who places people in authority as He is soveriegn to do so as a part of His plan. For example, Hitler was used to bring Israel back into existence.
Does that mean Obama is guaranteed the win? I don't know, we won't know until after the election. I have determined to rest in Him, knowing that no matter what happens God is in control. I will vote my conscience and leave the rest to God as I continue to grow in obedience to Him and do what I believe is right.
Does that mean I am not deeply concerned about what an Obama adminsitration would do to this country? No, in fact I am very concerned but I will not live in fear.
Gremlins? what? haha
I blame Gremlins for double posts and odd glitches. Have you ever seen the movies?
Or were they too far before your time? Guh! Yeah, that doesn't sit right even a tiny bit... See, now am getting tied in knots, because Hitler was satanic, and I can't swallow the idea of God placing Hitler where he was. He *allowed* it to happen, yes, but the idea of Him actually putting him there... struggling a lot with that.I know what you meant, and you used it correctly, I just don't like it. LOL Like I don't care for the idea that Hitler was "anointed", but I can not doubt that God had placed him where He placed him for a purpose.

Jay (who feels old all of a sudden)
No, sure, I know. But there's a difference between actively doing something and allowing something to happen.Biblically speaking...where does authority come from?
