  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Your school with have your SAT scores on file, you can call them and it will be on your transcripts.

One of my friends goes to Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester and she loves it. Another friend of mine goes ot Houghton and I think that one is still in NY.

try going to princetonreview.com and they give a good overview of most schools.

What's your league?

Tell me a little about yourself... possible major? YOu can major in anything before heading to seminary. YOu may actually choose to work for several years before seminary. Do you like to get lost in a crowd of get a lot of personal attention? Country or city? Strongly in one theological camp or another? What is your idea of a good time with friends? You've named colleges from all over the country - how far from home would your realisticly go?

Don't be spooked by the word University. A lot of colleges have been changing their names to better reflect what they actually do - offer graduate and undergraduate programs - and to better appeal to the international community.

I have been on 5 of the campuses you named and had a son graduate from one of them... Worked in college admissions and on a Christian college campus for about 20 years...

If you don't trust the reviews (which I wouldn't trust most of them either) you should go visit the schools, especially before you make your final decision. Most schools have a program where interested students shadow a current student. They typically stay the night on a weekday in the dorms, then go to class and whatnot with their current student. At my school it's called a day in the life. I know someone who also goes to NYACK and have heard good things about that one too.

Good luck and just keep praying that God will help you choose the right college
