  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm trying to decide which nursing school to go to.
There are two.
The first one will be
1.cheaper
2.easier to get into
3.require less classes
4.and be a less intense program
but the bad side is,that the hospital I will do my clinical in,and probably get a job in,is not my top choice.

the second school is
1.farther away
2.more difficult program
but,I can get in earlier (this coming spring instead of next fall)and I will end up doing clinical and probably working for a level 2 trauma center at a good hospital with a great rep.

anyway,I'm applying for both, and praying that God will lead the way.

choices,choices,choices.............

anyone else have nursing as a major?

Hmm that's a tough one. I would just keep praying about it. When I had to decide between two schools I prayed that God would only let me get accepted to the one if He wanted me to go there, and guess what I didn't get accepted. And I have a higher GPA than my bff who got accepted there, so that was God's way of showing me that was not the school He had in mind for me.

I'm graduating in April with a degree in psychology and sociology, but I really want to become a nurse. Maybe I'll go back after I graduate...

Good luck with everything!!

From a purely pratical standpoint, I would go with the more reputable one. It is a better program which will mean you will have been exposed to more things to make you a better nurse. This gives you higher earning potential and more options for where you work once you graduate.

In the end, however, just keep listening for what God has in mind for you. I pray that he'll make it an obvious and easy decision for you.
