Using the normal definition of faith, there is no faith required to accept science. Trust based on a proven track record, is more like it.
They can still have trust based on the fact they rely on science, every hour of every day of their life and it works.
I rely on the knowledge of science and the knowledge of God. What is little understood even by many Christians is that the body of practical knowledge in the bible is enormous, and all directed at providing happiness, safety, health, soundness of mind, and even prosperity; none of which seem to be very important these days.

Scriptural knowledge must come by finding agreement with other verses, other witnesses. In the last days God is going to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh.
Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh:
God's Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. Jhn 15:26
When God pours out His Spirit of Truth upon atheists agnostics and phonies, Can you tell us HOW God will convince the unbelievers? Is it through the discoveries Science? If not, then please tell us your idea of HOW His Truth will get to them.

I wish everyone was as fortunate as me regarding the above. But it seems most have made up their minds to go in a different direction.

No one is claiming evolution makes claims of sudden gigantic leaps. Yet the leaps are gigantic but done over such a long period of time that it cannot be observed or tested or validated. All evolution has is gigantic leaps with no way to show the long process and no evidence of the long process of those major changes.

I said biologically valid (IOW, something that can be demonstrated with respect to biology).
Or to put it another way, you'd need to be able to demonstrate the existence of "kinds" as a biological reality strictly with respect to biology itself. Merely quoting the Bible doesn't count.

Once again look at the passage not just the verse. It tells you things that will happen.

The other part if this is people are made aware if the truth through us. The gospel is truth and it is shared by us. Whether people believe and follow the truth is between them and God. And as we see not all who are told and/or see the truth believe and follow.
Design (as purpose or intention) is not an "alternative" to evolution. It is as consistent with evolution as with any other process by which the design (as functional arrangement of components) of living creatures might have been produced.
It is if the alternative is to replace constitutional government with a totalitarian theocracy, which is what the Discovery Institute is all about. But that is a topic for another forum; I just mentioned it to tell you why I despise them--and their propaganda, based as it is on the fallacious equivocation of two different meanings of "design."..

Not according to evolution; and no, not even with selective breeding.But accumulation of small hops can bring us to a place where we can jump the Mississippi. According to evolution anyway. After all our athletes are getting faster and stringer and can jump farther every year. Who knows. Maybe in five million years we will he able to.
