Not sure what to think

While was in bed, I was thinking about a horrendous crime that a couple committed year ago towards a young girl (this was in the news some time ago).

At one point I became so disgusted by the crime that a thought came into my mind that if I had a choice would I give up my salvation to have prevented it for
Happening (though it would be impossible to)?

I think in the heat of emotion I chose "yes".

I then freaked out and prayed to God that I didnt mean it and my real answer would be "I don't know".

Even despite this I still worry. What now?

Pray, Pray, Pray. God knows your heart, better than you do. He will never let you go, no matter how hard you try. So forgive yourself, get it right with God (as you have) then move on. Spend time in his word, meditate on his promises. Draw closer to him. His mercy is new, every morning. You are a new creation, washed in the blood, old things have passed away and you are new again. Dwell on that which is holy, pure, righteous. Bring every thought captive to the word of God. Remember, you are a child of the king, joint heirs with Jesus, Royalty. Look to God, he delights in you, you are the apple of his eye. (these are scriptures, not just words, God's promises)

This is just a facet of Your OCD BATTLE. These thoughts /feelings are totally inconsequential except that it may actually be commendable that u feel such strong empathy for this young girl! But as for your salvation, these thoughts are meaningless. Again, treat them as such!
