• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Hey,
I finally decided to stop smoking on Monday 3/21/06.
So I quite cold turkey, I manage to go 29 hours without. Then I had to get a puff, my head was hurting. So each day I smoke only one at or around 7pm. So I'm asking for you to pray that I continue to not smoke, but take that one cig. away from me.:prayer: :prayer:
I have relize that I want to keep my TEMPLE CLEAN.....

I quit Christmas day after 20+ years of smoking and there is no way I could have quit cold turkey! God supplied me with gum, commit and patches for 8 weeks! How long did you smoke?

Hi Kimberley,
My name is Sandy and I am so glad that you have decided to quit. I know that it is a very hard process but don't you EVER give up trying. I didn't think that I could ever quit but I did. It took me several tries until I finally succeeded. The good Lord will give you the strength that you need to give up this addiction if you are really serious about quitting...I know that you are going to make it...I will be praying for you and may God bless you....WAY TO GO.... Keep the faith..
