Not new but discouraged

I have created a thread in the face the board(women) section twice and contribute to other's threads but can never seem to get a response. I am very careful to be considerate of other's feelings when I respond, so I am not sure why this is the case.
This may only be whining and my being overly sensitive, but I would really appreciate it if anyone has some insight on how I can be noticed??
