Not looking forward to tomorrow's gig

No cover, the forecast high is 113, and I'm going to be wearing a suit, tie, and mask (it's a Fantastic Mr Fox thing). I'll be shocked if I don't weigh 20lbs less by the time tomorrow's over.

Should be a good crowd though.

Oh, are you a musician? When I went to school they taught me everything except band, so I envy you right now. You probably know how to sing, dance, and play instruments (They offered me Math, English, Social Studies, Science, Spelling, P.E., Bible, and Reading.).

I would have appreciated it if they had offered band class or at least anything on how to sing, dance, or play instruments but that was not in there.

I don't even have the knowledge.

I also don't know the music industry inside-out either.

Most band classes don't teach you much about music. They just teach you how to play an instrument. You don't have to understand music to play an instrument. The music class that's good for learning music is jazz band. Jazz bores me to tears but is a great genre for learning how music and songs work.

Also, you don't want to understand the music industry. There are very ugly realities even at the small-time, authentic level. I love music but the business end is ugly.
