Not enough to be what?

So help me out I am feeling a bit schitzophrenic today

I got a note from a mod on a board who said my icon was wrong edit your post.

OK I can take direction thats cool

So I am not really Jewish enough to be Messiainic
Too Messianic to be protestant
Probably too much or not enough of anything to be Catholic
I am Charismatic but personality isn't everything.


So what do you think what am I

I try to keep the law of Moses best I can but still have some Hellinistic tendancies.

I really beleive in the atoning work of the cross is necessary for all men but I am pretty convinced that Moses and Noah are in heaven.

When I annoint people with oil and pray over them most times they get better and right away. Sometimes they fall down. But I think most guys on TV who do this are frauds.

My dad is Catholic so was my grandma actually so was I untill about 25 years ago.

I belong to a Mennonite church but I teach there on the Tanach most of the time.


You know I know who I am and what I am I am pre-denominational thats what I am. I just hate denominations and factions so much. But what does the world say I am?

Can we start with Christ Crucified? Can we build on that?

I am only posting here cause I can. Sorry to dump.

I weep when he does over this stuff.

Sorry you had such a negative thing happen to you, Brother. I'm a pre-denominational sorta person myself -- I fit that definition I think. And I like it. My definition has just been a simple, "believer".

Messianic Judaism is no "denomination" in the first place.

I feel sad over this kind of stuff. So much for letting G-d take people where they are at, and grow them in the direction He wants them to grow, in His Way and His Timing, and His Grace....

Amen to that from a quasi-Catholic Messianic Anglican Jewish sympathizer who identifies mostly with Celtic Cornwall and heretics like Pelagius but knows that G-d understands me and could care less.

Seriously, I wish I had a dollar for each time Ive been told the same. People are all too quick to judge on these matters but who you are is really up to you and G-d. I wear the torah scroll icon with pride becuase I love Torah and Im happy with who I am and with my walk with G-d.

I dont know much about all that falling down and drunk in the spirit stuff thats on TV, but accepting such doesnt make you any less of a Messianic, as far as I know. So next time someone asks you to change your icon, just tell them your sticking with the religion that Yeshua was a part of and proclaimed, Judaism. And thats all.

No one asked me to remove my icon but they did tell me to remove a post from an arena that in truth I should be able to post in. This based on WHO I actually am not by the little cartoon icon I have. And the thing that kills me is that I always make known who and what I am so there is nothing hidden.

Its sort of like people thinking that you look like an androgynous Japanese cartoon figure (well ok you kind of do but not that much)

I am just cranky because this whole thing makes me sick. Of anyone I know I try the hardest to bridge the denominations and stuff together. That espeically since Plan 9 is all chewed up now.

What shall we say then it is better to identify with this group or that group or to identify with messiah?

The only thing I can say is that I have always appreciated the honesty and sincerity in your posts, as well as your loving nature. I'm not always that clear on the rules here (ie...I know that in the CO section, I can only post in this forum and only questions or fellowship posts), but other than that I don't always understand. I'll give you the advice I always give those who encounter problems in other forums: don't leave the MJ forum. Honestly, why would you want to post in another forum? Are we not the best group of people on all of CF?

That being said, I'm going to close this thread. Nothing wrong has happened here, but the temptation to violate rule 7 is pretty good, and I'd rather not have to get on to anybody about that today.
