I volunteer with a ministry that helps the at-risk, homeless, underprivileged, etc in our area.
Like many such ministries, we also work with other various ministries in the area and sometimes we exchange goods with them.
For example, ministry A may have gotten in a donation of canned goods they cannot use, but they need clothing. We have excess clothing but are short on canned goods - we exchange.
It was in just such a scenario the following occurred. We had gotten in several donations of clothing in odd sizes and had not found anyone that needed them in a few months. We passed them on to another ministry that could use them. I delivered them.
Everything was delivered except for 1 bag of girl's clothes. I knew it was in my truck. I loaded it in my truck. However, when I was unloading my truck at the other ministry I did not see that bag, despite it being with all the other donations. I even checked twice. I did not notice the bag still in my truck.
I got back and they asked why I kept the bag of girl's clothes. I said, "What?" and looked, and sure enough - there was the bag of girl's clothes. Other than simply not seeing it when I unloaded despite it being in front of my face, I had no explanation.
Then the ministry phone rang. It was a young mother asking if we had any girl's clothes she could have for her daughter.
Everyone just said, "Oh, that's why. God had a plan for those."
Sometimes, for me, its little things like this that really help boost my faith.
