  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't know what to think. Because that's news to me. Is that's what's going to happen? Is there a thread about it somewhere? Can you point me to it? (I'll go look, just in case it's painfully obvious. I'm answering before looking.)

Do you think you'll tune in to Survivor on Thursday? (I'm almost afraid to myself....but, curiousity is and has always been my weakness.)

Thanks. To answer your previous question, I like it, I guess. It might make it easier for someone like me, who doesn't like all the number games to find the new word games to play.

In answer to this question in some respects yes. Because I like interpersonal relationships and mind challenges. But, also no....because I've seen how here people ridicule the players. And I wouldn't ever knowingly make myself a target for ridicule. And we're all human, and not always likeable in stressful situations, me least of all. I can imagine the heart breaking mean spirited things people would say about me. No...I'll stay in my safe little home where the people here love me anyway.

Sorry, (overly wordy) I need to go to bed. I get less and less succinct as my mind starts to drift off into halucinatory sleep deprivation. And whereas I think I'm making sense, tomorrow I might look back and read this post and be embarrassed at all the type-o's and stupidity. So, good night.
