None of them is lost! No! Not one!

Psalm 87:3. Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah. 4. I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there. 5. And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her. 6. The Lord shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah. 7. As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my (off) springs are in thee.

Acts 17:24. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25. Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26. And (God) hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27. That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28. For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Matthew 18:10. Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. 11. For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. 12. How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? 13. And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. 14. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

John 10:28. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30. I and my Father are one.

John 17:12. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Romans 8:38. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

How about those scriptures, folks! (Some do not like "so many scriptures"! Something "ain't right" about them!) You can't say it better than the Word of God!

Psalm 19:7. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 8. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Psalm 50:17. Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee. 18. When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. 19. Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. 20. Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son. 21. These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

Isaiah 55:8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Any time you get to the point where you "can't stand seeing" the Word of God, and get disgusted "reading so many" scriptures, guess what spirit is ruling you?!

Psalm 119:102. I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me. 103. How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! 104. Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. 105. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

It certainly is God's will that no one shall perish but that's just not the way it's turning out . Jesus frequently made very angry and threatening statements about those living lives of hypocrisy and that problem has just gotten a whole lot worse in our society and in many churches. So many ministers are emphasizing love of ourselves and our own families ,instead of showing love for others including even our enemies, that one "good Christian woman" decided she needed to murder a woman and steal the fetus from her womb as she lay bleeding to death, and then bring the baby to her minister for his blessing. The ultimate example of "love of selves".

The very fact that Jesus was murdered is rather dramatic evidence that Satan is very successful in his efforts to destroy God's plan for the world.

Here are a few verses that give the explanation for why "many will be called but few chosen."IT IS EASIER FOR A CAMEL TO GO THROUGH THE EYE OF A NEEDLE THAN IT IS FOR A RICH MAN TO ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD." (very relevant as some will try in a few days to celebrate Christ by giving meaningless materialistic riches to members of their own family) "HE WHO LOVES THE WORLD IS AN ENEMY OF GOD" (many anger God by worshipping the false gods of money, success or country) and "IF YOU DO NOT FORGIVE,NEITHER WILL YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN FORGIVE YOUR SINS"(although even the Lord's prayer repeats this biblical teaching,it is not mentioned much in most churches because the Iraq war has made it politically incorrect.)

well if the point of this thread is trying to teach eternal security or OSAS... the bible says alot more about it than just the scriptures you quoted, and thats just oneside of it.

i am firm believer in Gods saving grace that can keep you, but i dont believe eternal security in the normal baptistical fashion for several reasons.

Romans 5:17. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 18. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. 20. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

YOU on the other had think you have found "something" that CAN do it! Should we reject Paul and accept your wisdom instead? What do you say?

if i desired to go into the details and explain to you WHY... and push my belief on you i would have.
but i know what i believe, and ive talked this over with too many people to feel insecure about it.

it is absolutely clear why you believe the way you do, and i dont blame you one bit in the light of what you see.
but the bible is pretty clear, that what you believe is not true.
though i dont really care to get into a discussion about it.
becuase of all the people ive ever seen discuss it, i think maybe 1% of them ever chnage... no one changes to believe it, and no one changes to stop believing it.
so i generally dont feel the need to go into it.

i could be wrong, but i probly know very well why you believe the way you do. and i know very well why i think your wrong. but it doesnt matter enough to make a big deal out of it.

nothing you just said proves eternal security, becuase other issues are in play that those 2 scriptures dont discuss.

you say im wrong, and you show me why.... ok. thats great man, im gonna go eat some lunch now.
kind of like a adult not really caring how his smart his 15yrold child thinks he is, cus he knows already the kids just wrong, and hell see one day, and you just listen and smile really big and go about your business.

Isaiah 55:8 is to Jews and Christians who read, respect, and study the scriptures. Heathen and non-Christians have their own religions and their own books they read if they are literate. Few if any outside of Christiandom read Jewish sacred writings and they DO NOT study them, nor do they really care what Jewish writers and Christians say today!

You have described the way I regard men in general and Christians in particular.

Luke 7:32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.

1 Corinthians 14:20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.

So we can have another discussion on the once saved always saved question right?

Well ask yourself. If you love somebody like very very extremely much. And that person comes and tells you that he no longer wants to have a relationship with you... then you would let him go right. Because you love him. You would obviously try to make him/her stay by declaring your love. but you will not go and put that person in a cage in your home simply to be with you.

Just like this is our relationship with God. For absulutely no reason in eternity will God put you out or turn his back on you. But If you decide to turn your back on him and move out then He will not lock you up inside. If one read the new testament there is a few scriptures about people moving away which is a very serious matter.

Does this clear things up? propbably not:( o well.
We must always ask God to reveal to us the truth when we read the bible and not only read the bible to affirm what we already believe.
