[QUOTE="HarborOrange, post: 61843921, member: 207515"] Shadow Plays from Yesterday was one of my favorite releases this year. Just saying. Love those guys. God is one of my favorite songs of all time. I'm surprised to hear anyone even drop A Forest of Stars at all lol, let alone on a Christian forum. Again, props to you. You have good taste. By the way, check out So Hideous, My Love. I think they're just called So Hideous now, though... There's also The Body. But they are really frightening, to be honest. I played Empty Hearth when I was hanging out with some Christian kids from my class, they were deeply concerned haha. But they're an interesting metal band... if you can call them that. Also, I never could get into Pelican. It was just too generic seeming for me. As far as instrumentals go, I usually prefer them to be a little more intricate. But man, Russian Circles is great. Empros is such a strong album. I remember listening to Enter over and over again when I was a freshman years ago lol. Jakob will probably always be my favorite post-rock/instrumentally oriented band though. I do love This Will Destroy You and Godspeed You! Black Emperor though, I can never get enough of them.
