Prov 6:16-19 These six things the LORD hates, yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil,
a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren.

I was looking at something on wiki that was somewhat similar

1 Corinthians 1:10-13 is often cited. It reads:

Now I mean this, that each one of you is saying, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos," and "I of Peter," and "I of Christ." Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

Pam, we should all be able to say "I am of Christ" - shouldn't we? I think I might see what you're getting at here, though, because you're not talking about the words but rather the attitude and the context - like if someone says "I'm a Methodist", and the non-denom-er retorts by self-righteously saying "Well I just follow Christ" - this could be seen as a self-serving, self-exalting statement that would separate us from others. Right?
