Admittedly, past performance does not reflect future results. However, I've slowly become a fan of Krugman since he has started to concentrate more on classism the right way, focusing on class warfare between the very top and the rest of us, rather than most conservatives who think the class warfare pie is between the 50% that pay taxes against the 50% that don't.

A group of students recently compiled a list of 18 prognosticators and analyzed their success to fail ratio. What do you know, Paul Krugman came out on top!

Nobody should listen to Cal Thomas

Hamilton College - News, Sports, Events - Talking Heads or a Coin Flip?

Cal Thomas is still better than Don Luskin who, as Barry Ritholtz remarked, was once so wrong that "if you had a time machine, knew the future, and purposefully tried to write something where every word was literally wrong, you could not have done a better job."

He did? Do you have a link for that? I cannot find it.

He did say it on camera. I watched and heard it. I don't have link either. Saving Hawaii (aka Paul Krugman?) thinks it was a joke. From what I remember the general reaction was that he meant it. I'm just going by memory.

Anyway, I can't stand him. I try to read his columns and blog but his air of arrogance is too much for me. I would post some links to some criticism of him if I could, but I can't since I don't have 50 posts yet.

lol I was reading the thread, worrying I would be the only one. From the first few posts I thought it was a Chuck Norris-style joke.

You don't know who Paul Krugman is??? Economics and Politics by Paul Krugman - The Conscience of a Liberal - NYTimes.com Regular column in the New York Times, Nobel Prize, and probably one of the foremost liberal economists in American politics. You don't have to like Krugman, but you should know who he is and what he has to say.

FWIW, Krugman has been a very vocal critic of not only the Republican Party but also the Obama Administration. Vocal to the point that he sometimes expresses a sense of futility in even bothering to make his arguments, because he senses that few policymakers listen to him. The OP was a joke about that.

Paul Krugman is a liberal Keynsian economist who writes for the New York Times.

I sense that this statement was supposed to be a slur against Krugman, but nothing you said here actually hurts his reputation. Within a conservative worldview where liberal = bad, Keynesian = bad, economist = bad, writes = bad, and New York Times = bad, I can understand the attempted slander, but not everybody views the world through your spectacles.
