Recently Delroy Chuck Minister of Justice in Jamaica is encouraging Caribbean nations including Jamaica, to support homosexuality.

Delroy Chuck, homosexuality is a sin like it or not, and homosexual acts are extremely unhealthy. How dare you be telling Caribbean leaders to go against God's commandment?

Everyone should be free and have their civil rights protected, and that includes their right to association, speech, and religion. It is wrong to enforce a particular religion on other people who do not wish to ascribe to or belong to that religion or its doctrines. Persecuting gay people and arresting them for their beliefs and association is just as wrong as persecuting Christians and arresting them for their beliefs and associations. Place in yourself in the shoes of others. The issue you reference is not about promoting one view or another. It is not about encouraging one view or another. It is about the civil rights of other human beings who do not agree with you.

Also, the reason Minster Delroy Chuck is trying to decriminalise being gay is because 1) it is persecution, yes, of people who are gay to arrest them for that. 2) It is because there are literally hundreds of LGBT youth who have been made homeless because their families abandoned them. They are starving, homeless, and suffering because of the laws that persecute them.

This story from an Anglican priest should move anyone, on either side of the issue, to want laws that persecute gay people to be repealed. That is something that everyone should be able to agree on.

What a person does in his/her own consensual relationship in private is none of the state's business. Also, you really think married heterosexual couples are being targeted over that? Again, civil liberty is important. No one should be arrested for the kind of intimate relations they have in private.

Also, laws have consequences on the psyche of a population. If you tell parents that their kids will one day be imprisoned because of their sexual orientation, then the state with such laws is contributing to the prejudice and hatred that causes those youth to be abandoned.

Whose laws is higher is it God's laws or man's law? If you call yourself an Anglican, how can you support what God calls sin? If someone does sinful activities privately does that matter to God? Does he ignore sin being committed? Or does private activities matter just like public matters?

I am not commenting on what is supported or not supported by a person. I am not commenting on or arguing about what different denominations consider to be 'sin.' I am talking about civil rights and civil liberties. A country should not force a particular religion on other people. If you're view of religion says this or that, you should not force it on people who think differently. That is why we have religious freedom and those civil rights. A gay person should not be arrested for being gay. A gay person should not be arrested for what is done privately in a consensual relationship anymore than a consenting married heterosexual couple should be arrested for what is done privately. Arresting people for being gay or for disagreeing with you is persecution.

I wonder if the people that post these accusations have any idea what goes on in some heterosexual bedrooms. People seize on one behavior to the exclusion of the many, many other behaviors that are listed far more frequently in the Bible than same sex relations.

I seem to recall a section of John's gospel that describes the treatment of a woman caught in the act of adultery, arguably the most serious sex crime in the entire Bible. Her accusers were ready to stone her to death but Jesus defeated their intention with one statement and they left the scene one by one. Jesus told the woman that he didn't condemn her, but that she should not continue sinning. A single act of forgiveness with no condemnation!

1) Jesus never mentioned homosexuality and didn't refuse anyone who came to him.
2) The guilty parties in the above story were those who condemned her.

There is a lesson here for those who condemn others because of their sexual behavior.
