No secular forum?

Probably because this is a Christian website. No one is stopping anyone from posting about atheism so what's the problem?

I think there should be a forum for people to discuss atheism, but not one for only atheists. If you want an atheist only forum, there are plenty of websites out there.

I'm not saying a forum just for atheists. Just a forum generally about discussing secular ideas, like you said.

Then I support the idea. In fact, having a forum like that could really benefit the website.

Just on a personal level, I know we've got a good amount in the secular community here. But since it's a Christian Forum, I'm personally not seeing the benefit.

There are subforums for all the different "faith groups", but there isn't a "secular" subforum for atheists, agnostics, humanists, deists, etc

Those sub-forums are denominations of Christianity and, as such, are pertinent to the general theme and premise of the site overall.

I personally think it would be a nightmare for staff to police any such forum as well. Not all non-Christians knowingly blaspheme, but one would expect a prevalence of it in a forum that is entirely unrelated to Christianity, yet on a site that would expect the type of discussions that may incite or provoke instances of blasphemy as well. That's just an example of the potential problems that could arise.

Ultimately the site is here for Christian fellowship, or at least I'd imagine, and if non-Christians want to call it home(Which is fine and overall an enriching experience as it offers people of every faith and walk of life to understand the lives and beliefs of people with different beliefs) then they would need to accept the framework that's already in place.

CF allows for discussions and questions to be asked from a non-Christian point of view and there are forums pertaining to science and creation & evolution. There's also an Ethics & Morality forum which, as a Humanist, I'm sure you'd probably enjoy as a place for reading or taking part in discussions, given its importance in Humanism.

Either way -- I think non-Christians have options here and I know I at least appreciate the ability to post here at all. I've met some good friends here and there's a lot I can question and debate within the rules and framework of CF. If there's something I can't discuss here or in the context I'd like to, I'd look for a forum pertinent to the general subject I'm wishing to discuss or the specific question or area.
