  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In James 3:12 we read; “Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.” Just as we know a tree by the fruit that it bears, so also the waters of doctrine a person speaks can be either a blessing, or a curse upon those who drink it. Just as kind words can be pleasant to the hearing as fresh waters are refreshing to thirst, but so too can offensive words be like salt water to the man who also is a thirst.
In the same manner the doctrine of carnally minded men can be like salt water, as the spiritual Word of the Lord like fresh. And just as the world is covered mostly by salt water, so also is the majority of doctrine by man. It is the precious few that are the minority, those few fresh wells of water who spring up by faith and hold fast to the spiritual doctrine of Christ.
Jesus said in John 7:38; “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” This living water is the Word of God that dwells inside the man, and when spoken by the Spirit of Truth can bring forth Life, just as the Lord’s Christ is that very Word of Life.
We are shown these living waters in Jeremiah 17:13;
“O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.” And in John 4:10 we see those living waters came in the flesh, in a man named Jesus.
“Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water
And just as Moses parted the salty waters of the Red sea by the power of God, we also see that Christ would part the Mount of Olives and bring forth living waters out from Jerusalem, half to the former sea, and half to the hinder sea. Zechariah 14:8; “And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
And just as the Lord brings the rains of heaven upon the earth to water it, so also the Lord shall bring forth the former, and the latter rains in its due season. Jeremiah 5:24; Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.
Hosea 6:3;
“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.”
Joel 2:23;
“Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month
And just as the Lord separated the waters of heaven and earth in the beginning, so also the Lord has separated the salt waters from the fresh; but the majority of this present world lives in this sea of iniquity. We see this sea of iniquity in Revelation 17:15; And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. But the Lord would later cry unto his people in these polluted waters to come out of her. Revelation 18:4; “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues
The Lord showed in Ezekiel that the day would come when the Living waters of the Lord would flow out to the healing of the desert places, and to the healing of the sea. Ezekiel 47:8; “Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed
Ezekiel 47:9; “And it shall come to pass, that everything that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and everything shall live whither the river cometh.”
And we see the source of the river in Revelation 22:1; “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.”
And by all this we can then see, and understand this verse of scripture in Revelation 21:1; “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea

No more seas, no more double mindedness, as the bride's mentality is that there is no temple but He has become our light. One light. One river. One tree whose leaves are not an adding of sin to sin but for the healing of every thought, all the nations. Yet there is the beconing by the Spirit and the Bride who speak with one voice to a Truth greater than any book can reveal. A place of past finding out. A place where every thought is I am.

As long as the mentaltiy of the earthly remains there will be seed time and harvest.

His going forth is prepared as the morning ... The Son is always present, it is the earth that turns, we that turn to see the morning.

The Truth as it is in Christ.

The latter rain is the parting of the vale over the Holy Place. Our mentaltiy, perception of our Son, is unclean all the days of our separation. This perception of separation is coming to an end. The end of what Peter spoke, this is the beginning of, of which the crossing over of the jordan is a picture of as well.

No one has passed this way before ... other than our brother.

But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

The mentality of Hagar, the perception of her Son is not a partaker of the promise. This is the wilderness mentalitiy, a dualitiy, blessing and cursing ... etc.

And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bowshot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept. And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation. And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. And God was with the lad ...

Very kool post InSpiritInTruth what a blessing  It speaks of the wisdom (which is from above) is first pure, just as theres a pure river of water proceeding out of the throne . And ikewise He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Speaking of those which believe would have these rivers of living water flowing from them (of His Spirit) becoming as fountains of waters, or wells with water (verses wells without)

For example here...

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Jerm 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

And here...

2Peter 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

It speaks of wells or cisterns holding no water or without water as well.

I loved you picked up on "His season" in respects to the rain, it asks elsewhere, hath the rain a Father? Or who hath begotten the drops of dew? I thought that was cute

God bless you brother, always blessed by your posts

Isaiah 27:1
In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Always liked this one too

Psalm 104:36 There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

Ever notice the word "let" around leviathan

Job 41:1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?

Because it speaks of the tongue as a world of iniquity (using ships and a small helm) as an example, and says, "there go the ships" and there is that leviathan who thou hast made to play therein. But also speaks of the mystery of inquity and what is "let" just as his tongue (with a cord) which thou "lettest".

Just the wording around there

Yes, and some of those ships are blown, and tossed around by every wave of doctrine.

And if there's no more sea for the dragon to swim around in...

Genesis 8:21
And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

Revelation 22:3
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Then there will be no more curse.

Amen bro, I always sorta regard those things as tests, and as children we are all tossed (at first) by these winds until we start resting our faith in Christ, the power of God and thats where the great calm is:thumbsup:

Psalm 107:25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.

Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Ephes 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Mark 4:41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

1Cr 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

You can sorta see it in the above a little

God bless you brother

Yes wells without that refreshing water of Life. Good catch Fire.

They are like the flash of thunder without the bang, and like darkened clouds without the rain.^_^

Which reminds me bro love never fails, and without love a sounding brass thing of noise (empty barrels make the most noise) :p

Isaiah 32:6 For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

In contrast to

Isaiah 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Love never fails, whereas in the first he shall cause the drink of the thirsty to fail and in the other the LORD giuding them continually will be as the waters which fail not

There are so many comparisons in these things in various ways, hard to order these up. Im always like, "where to begin"? Without Him we can do nothing and without love we are nothing

God bless you brother:hug:

You know, I was always wondering about the wording here, he says he will cast their sins into the depths of the sea and then speaks of no more sea just as he will remember their sins no more either

Mic 7:19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

But in Mic it speaks of the "subduing" our iniquities, whereas Peter when speaking of the new heaven and earth speaks of "wherein righteousness doth dwell"

Was just looking and comaring ofcpurse not making an absolute statement here ^_^

Exactly bro, thats of the love of God shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, which again was of the drink that fails not. Not that we loved God but that he first loved us, the gift of God is also the love of God he shed abroad in our hearts for Him. The circumcision of the heart "to love the Lord thy God"

If we are carnally minded from the start, how can what is carnally minded love God when by its nature is emnity (great hatred) of God. While we were yet enemies (and enemies in our minds) Christ died for us. Putting his enemies under his feet (even his teaching) and bringing us into subjection by the Spirit through whom we mortify our deeds. Being renewed in the spirit of our minds so to speak.

God bless you brother

It was the waters that covered the face of the earth, just as the vail of the flesh covers the mind from seeing the true glory of God.

But God's Spirit walks on the waters, just as the Ark also floated upon the sea of flood waters to preserve life.

Genesis 1:2
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Genesis 7:18
And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

Genesis 8:9
But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

Genesis 8:13
And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.

Amos 5:8
Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:

Amos 9:6
It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.

The waters of the sea covers the face of the earthly mind, just as the Covering Cherub covers. And just as the Devil is the Father of the lie, the Dragon prospers in this sea of darkness that has covered up the face from seeing the deep things of God, which has also kept the earthly mind from seeing the Truth.

Beautiful types like that throughout bro, amen:thumbsup:

It shows a drought is upon her waters too

Jerm 50:38 A drought is upon her waters; and they shall be dried up: for it is the land of graven images, and they are mad upon their idols.

Which is a strange way to put it, drought on waters yet in the same breath is a land

and the drough being upon "her" waters and the waters being peoples where the "harlot sitteth"

Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the harlot sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

The face of the covering cast over all peoples

Isaiah 25:7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

Theres pieces everywhere, in every which way, hard for me to order up, but waters below and waters above and a mans heart as deep waters etc. For me its like "which goes where" and after what picture, otherwise I can only say, wow neat but still my understanding is pretty much unfruitful ^_^

Ever do that? I do, I look at things that speak in accord and line them up in various ways but still dont underatand yet how to work them out exactly in the whens, wheres and all of that. Sorta like its searchable and yet unsearchable at the same time lol

Peace bro, God bless you:hug:

Theres pieces everywhere, in every which way, hard for me to order up, but waters below and waters above and a mans heart as deep waters etc. For me its like "which goes where" and after what picture, otherwise I can only say, wow neat but still my understanding is pretty much unfruitful ^_^

Ever do that? I do, I look at things that speak in accord and line them up in various ways but still dont underatand yet how to work them out exactly in the whens, wheres and all of that. Sorta like its searchable and yet unsearchable at the same time lol

Peace bro, God bless you:hug:

Many of the natural things are given as a similitude of the True spiritual things of God. Just as the flood waters killed all flesh in the days of Noah, so too has the spiritual flood waters of false doctrine killed all those who are of a carnal nature.

And just as man is not made to live under water, we also cannot live by drinking that spiritual sea water.

Just like when the Lord said he would bring a drought or famine, many would think of the natural. But here we are given the deeper spiritual meaning.

Amos 8:11
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

It is only by the Holy Spirit that we are given to know the hidden mysteries of God, but for those who are without it is spoken in parables.

But we who are of the Spirit, compare spiritual things with spiritual.

I suppose rightly comparing because the enemy comes in like a flood just as the waters of the flood which cometh out of the mouth of the serpent mouth. And also the flood of ungodly men. Then as Jesus says, And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

One then can know to expect it and better reccognise it better within this picture of the trying of ones faith, and if what one has built survives (so to speak).

Theres a famine of hearing his words in what I would (at first) think of as unexpected places, though at the same time I know for me, I had lost my ability to retain the words after I suffered a mini stroke myself. And that was the harest thing for me, because I used to be able to call things up in a moment and his words ran through my mind not only when I was awake but while I slept, but after my stroke that ability slipped from me.

That completely stinks, especially when you are used to something like that and then for to go without it is the absolute worse. True though I was able to post freely not copy pasting before then, I must THINK now. Not that I didnt before but that the same things come to me but more fluently.

So that stroke did me in since that time. Dont know if that is my famine, but sheesh sometimes it sure feels like it in comparison to what it was.

I was asking the Lord about that last night too which is weird, I asked him for that back, we'll see.

God bless you InSpiritInTruth
