No, Israel is not starving poor Gazan children. Don't buy the fake news lies

In an era where information travels faster than ever, the deliberate misuse of images and narratives to shape public opinion has become a potent weapon.

A recent and glaring example involves a picture of a sick child in Gaza, falsely portrayed as a victim of starvation caused by Israel. It’s egregious that photos of the 5-year-old boy have been misused to blame Israel for his condition, buffering claims that Israel is starving children.

The fact is that this child suffers from a serious genetic illness. But had Hamas not pilfered billions in financial aid to build up a network of terror, perhaps today there would have been medical facilities in Gaza in which he could be treated. On June 12, Israeli troops coordinated his evacuation from Gaza, along with his mother and brother.

This case exemplifies how fake news is crafted and disseminated to vilify Israel and fuel anti-Israel narratives. The manipulation of this image as demonstrating allegations of famine in Gaza made headlines in major outlets like The New York Times, CNN, Sky News, The Guardian, Daily Mail, Daily Express and others (just in English). It reveals a troubling pattern of media bias, and the distortion of truth to demonize a nation. Even worse, it depicts a lie.

The picture depicts a frail child, seemingly on the brink of death, being comforted by his mother. Widely circulated, it was presented as evidence of a famine in Gaza, with Israel cast as the perpetrator. Far from being the cause of his suffering, Israel facilitated his medical evacuation for treatment. The image, while real, was stripped of its context and repurposed to fit a narrative that falsely accused Israel of causing famine in Gaza.

Children are dying of starvation in Gaza.

Dozens of kids and adults in Gaza have starved to death in July as hunger surges

In greater numbers than ever, children hollowed up by hunger are overwhelming the Patient’s Friends Hospital, the main emergency center for malnourished kids in northern Gaza.

The deaths last weekend also marked a change: the first seen by the center in children who had no preexisting conditions.

The sources of the AP News article are the untrustworthy Gaza Health Ministry and the untrustworthy UN.

No, it was Dr. John Kahler and Dr. Rana Soboh with the American-based NGO MedGlobal.

‘Come and look for yourself’: U.S. doctors invite Steve Witkoff to witness Gaza starvation

U.S. medics volunteering in Gaza called on President Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff to visit Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis and “see what is really happening is a forced starvation of an entire population.”
If Hamas were to stop their war against Israel, if Hamas were to stop taking food meant for civilians, then there would certainly be a LOT less starving people in Gaza.

The question is who's causing the starvation, Israel or Hamas?

The question is who's causing the starvation, Israel or Hamas?
Israel's failure to allow adequate amounts of food, medical, and humanitarian aid into Gaza are the biggest factors.

The IPC findings published on 12 May highlighted the increasing
risk of Famine. Many of the risk factors identified in that report have
continued to deteriorate. Although the extreme lack of humanitarian
access hinders comprehensive data collection, it is clear from available
evidence that starvation, malnutrition, and mortality are rapidly
accelerating.

Expansion of the ground and air assault to areas in Deir al-Balah
on 21 July 2025 is likely to lead to further destruction of essential
civilian infrastructure, as well as large-scale forced displacement and
additional population movement into increasingly overcrowded
concentration zones.

Food aid shipments have been highly inadequate, and our analysis of
the food packages supplied by the GHF shows that their distribution
plan would lead to mass starvation, even if it was able to function
without the appalling levels of violence that have been reported. The
fact that people continue to risk being shot or caught in stampedes
at distribution sites indicates the extremely desperate level of hunger
that the population is experiencing.

Many nutritional programmes have run out of nutrition supplies and
the number of sites able to provide health and nutrition services has
greatly decreased. Shipments of medical supplies are also severely
constrained, leading to increased human suffering and elevated
morbidity. Deprivation of adequate clean drinkable water is causing
extreme suffering and has greatly increased the risk of morbidity and
mortality.

The factors outlined above combine to further increase the risk of
Famine.

In Addition:

The increase in hostilities, frequent displacements, and extremely restricted
humanitarian access (from land or sea) have driven a significant deterioration
in food security across the territory. The reinstated ban on fishing since 12
July further compounds the already collapsing local production, which
has been severely hampered by conflict-related damages, and lack of
access. With virtually no means to grow, harvest, or catch their own food,
humanitarian assistance has been a lifeline for Gazans, but what makes it in
and reaches people is highly insufficient.

The biggest factor for the woes of the people of Gaza is without any doubt at all the atrocities committed by the savages of Hamas against their own people.

The woes of the people living in Gaza began long before Hamas came into existance.

Does that time frame equal the amount of years the Palestinians have absolute hatred towards Jews? Of course, the answer is, Yes.

I support Isreal and Bibi Netanyahu’s security strategy for Israel. He is right, Hamas can’t allow to exist any longer.

Ensuring security is a priority for Israel, but maintaining positive public relations and diplomatic ties with Western countries is also important.

Currently, Israel is losing public relations and diplomatic ties with many countries, particularly Western allies like Canada and France. On the other hand, Palestinians and Hamas are gaining increasing support in global public relations efforts.

I hope Israel maintains its security policy regarding Gaza to ensure that Hamas does not regain control, while also reconsidering its broader strategy to improve global public relations. This may involve withdrawing the IDF from Gaza and providing humanitarian support to the Palestinian people, offering innocent civilians the opportunity to return to their homes and experience greater safety and security.

The hostages are also being starved and beaten, yet the same people who are starving the hostages are taking the aid away from their own people and selling it on the black market and using the money to buy weapons. How is that Israel’s fault, exactly?

The Palestinians and Hamas are the same at this point. Even though Hamas is just as evil to the Palestinians as they are to the Jews, the Palestinians keep putting them back in office. And Hamas teaches generation after generation of Palestinian kids to hate Israel, even though it is only because of Israel that Palestinians are still alive in Gaza. Hamas needs to be totally destroyed, and it would be great to not have to involve the Palestinians in the process, but since Hamas takes the aid sent in and it is they, themselves, who is responsible for starving the Palestinians, what do you think should be done? Saudi Arabia and others have started air-dropping aid into Gaza and have stepped up to warn Hamas that their actions are unacceptable. Are you willing to step up and say the same? To hold the persons actually responsible for this situation to accountability?

1993

The PLO recognizes the right of the State of Israel to exist in peace and security.

The PLO commits itself to the Middle East peace process, and to a peaceful resolution of the conflict between the two sides and declares that all outstanding issues relating to permanent status will be resolved through negotiations.

...the PLO renounces the use of terrorism and other acts of violence and will assume responsibility over all PLO elements and personnel in order to assure their compliance, prevent violations and discipline violators.

2011

“Our efforts are not aimed at isolating Israel or de-legitimizing it; rather we want to gain legitimacy for the cause of the people of Palestine... We extend our hands to the Israeli government and the Israeli people for peacemaking.”

The PLO and the Palestinian people adhere to the renouncement of violence and rejection and condemning of terrorism in all its forms, especially State terrorism, and adhere to all agreements signed between the Palestine Liberation Organization and Israel.

We extend our hands to the Israeli government and the Israeli people for peace-making. I say to them: Let us urgently build together a future for our children where they can enjoy freedom, security and prosperity. Let us build the bridges of dialogue instead of checkpoints and walls of separation, and build cooperative relations based on parity and equity between two neighboring States - Palestine and Israel - instead of policies of occupation, settlement, war and eliminating the other.

And the PLO speaks for Hamas or other terrorist groups that perpetuate the never ending wars with Israel? Because if they do, they are either lying, or don’t have the clout they think they do with the terrorist organizations.

There has only been ONE election in the past two decades and at that time the majority did not vote for Hamas. Not long after that election, Hamas forced its rule on the people of Gaza outside of the political process. They were not elected to power, they took Gaza by force.

We agree.

Hamas must be destroyed
The terrorists must be hunted down, held accountable for their actions, and the terrorist group eliminated.
Hamas is clearly an enemy to both Israel and the Palestinian people and must be eradicated.

As I've said before, Hamas is clearly an enemy to both Israel and the Palestinian people and must be eradicated.
Well, the NYT lies and you can’t believe a word they say anymore, they support the terrorists, so you can’t rely on that, and in the other link, one groups says no while the other says yes. So there is no clear evidence, I suppose, short of an independent group risking their lives to go in. But IF Hamas ISN’T stealing the aid, why are the Gazans starving? Quite a bit has been sent in.

Israel isn’t the ones making the decision to hold the aid. The UN refused to let Israel in to distribute the aid, and then said they couldn’t air drop it, but yet says they are responsible for getting it distributed. So it is a catch 22 set up to make Israel look bad.

Of course it could all be over with if Hamas released the hostages (dead and alive) and agreed to surrender.

And when people have asked the Palestinians if there was a vote today to elect a new government, who would they vote for? You guessed it, the terrorist regime who starves them and puts them in harms way. So however they got there, they would be voted in again by choice.
