Dear Daily Message Readers,

READ: Romans 1:16-32

Psalm 53:1 (NIV) "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.' They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good."

Some people have devoted their lives trying to disprove God.

Such is the case with the many microscopic fossils discovered in the hundreds of meteorites that have fallen to earth. Some scientists will use the pictures of these fossils as evidence of life on a nearby planet as "proof" that the Bible is not true. They operate from the premise that life in all its wonderful complexity somehow started spontaneously--without God. Yet a small chip off a dusty, dead planet is more exciting to them than God's revelation to us in His Word.

As Christians, we never need to apologize for our belief in the Bible. Why? Notice the words of the apostle Paul in Romans 1:16: "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes." Paul also wrote some other things, mainly about people who choose to deny God in spite of all the evidence that demands a belief in intelligent, personal Creator. His most indicting words still apply today, "Claiming to be wise, they became utter fools instead" (1:22, NLT).

Paul’s lesson for us in Romans 1 is clear: We all have to put our trust in something. Either you can place your faith in God and His errorless Word, or you can trust your eternal destiny to the philosophies and teachings of sinful man. It's your call. Faith Lesson: As the writers of the Psalms describes repeatedly (10:4, 14:1, and 53:1), it is foolish to think of creation without a Creator.

In Christ,
Darin Smith
