It's been said, and rightly so, that the almost all heresy and false belief stems from straying from verse 2 of Psalm 62 which begins ... "He only is my rock and my salvation".
Our strength and salvation is ONLY in the Lord. It's when we begin to add things to this that we begin to stray from the truth. We fall into the trap of "Jesus and...." beliefs. Jesus and works. Jesus and going to church. Jesus and giving money. Jesus and .... All those things are important but they do not provide salvation. They do not provide life itself but merely are the fruit of a right relationship with Jesus.
Don't add anything to Jesus when it comes to your salvation .. He only is your salvation, He alone is your rock. Don't lean on and depend on anything else. Christ is all-sufficient.
