Nirvana box set

Anybody else planning on picking this up? I am, however it leaked earlier today and so far I've listened to the first disc and am halfway through the second. Really good(Do Re Mi is just amazing). I dont think the casual fan(those who only like the hits, ect.) would like it too much, but box sets arent generally aimed at that group anyways.

I'm surprised it's only 4 CDs. I would've expected a bigger, 6 or so disc set.

Its released November 23rd. Its 3 CDs and 1 DVD. The casual fan probably wont like a lot of the stuff, and youll be disappointed if you are expecting all the songs to be polished and studio quality. A lot of the songs are demo's, some of them live, some from stuff like the Rio sessions. Offical site is nirvanabox.com.

The Nirvana boxset is certainly something I am gonna want. It unfortunatly wont be on my priority list because I have to save up for too much right now, but its something, in the future I would certainly want.

the Beatles have a new box set out


There's now only one week until Capitol releases The Capitol Albums Volume 1 on CD. I've now been privileged to hear the promotional CD from Capitol which contains 8 tracks from the set, and although I was excited about this new set before, I really can't wait to hear the whole thing now!


Here's a run-down of the eight new (old?) stereo tracks on the sampler: All My Loving, from Meet The Beatles, sounds just like it does on the original Capitol vinyl, and is basically the same stereo mix as was on the original Parlophone With The Beatles in the UK, except perhaps much brighter. (I own many Beatles vinyl LPs, unfortunately somehow a copy of With The Beatles on Parlophone has eluded me over the years, let alone a stereo one. However, I have several copies from different countries in Europe of the compilation album called "The Beatles Greatest", and it contains All My Loving. I assume these European compilations used, on the whole, the Parlophone mixes.)

There are actually 2 Zeppelin box sets. The first one ( 4 discs) and vol. 2 ( 2 discs).

Best box sets ever. Hands down. Followed closely by Alice in Chains: Music Box.

If you're planning on getting the box set from now till the 27th, try to get it at Target. I got mine for $30.29 after tax, while Amazon was selling it for $53 not including shipping, ect.
