I need to write a paper on one of Nietzsche's works. I study literature, literary criticism, linguistics, etc. Which one of his works would be of most benefit to my studies?

In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I would suggest "an introduction to Nietzsche" which gives you an overview of his life and work and you can decide which work you want to read from that. It will give you good stearage!

Remember, he never wrote Will to Power. That was something his sister put together by pasting various of his writings together. The specific points are his, but the general themes are not.
It's been a lot time since I've read Nietzsche, but I would say the whole Master Servant morality theme can easily be applied to just about any range of value-loaded projects. You might check out what some other literary theorists have had to say about Nietzsche, and or their use of him.
