OK. Now I finally understand. Now I can finally be scientifically relevant. A red to blue gradient across an essay has taken the wool off of my eyes and ushered me out of the darkness of bronze age superstition into the glorious light of scientism and enlightenment. It makes perfect sense: wolf to blue heeler + eons = reptile to mammal. Boy, do I feel stupid...this is so embarrassing. I must now embrace my primate cousins, even when, in their less evolved state, they sling poo and sticks at me. I think I'm going to go watch "An Inconvenient Truth". Surely, I've been wrong about it as well and will now be able to see the dire necessity to go vegan and ride a bicycle with hemp tires so we can save the planet.

Who's advocating scientism? I'm not. I'm just following the evidence from God's creation.

It makes perfect sense: wolf to blue heeler + eons = reptile to mammal.

We actually have an excellent morphological gradient (akin to the colour gradient I posted originally) demonstrating the evolution of mammals from "mammal-like reptiles". It's well-evidenced by the evolution of the lower jaw, for example:

The graphic itself isn't evidence of anything. It just nicely illustrates how microevolution gives rise to macroevolution over time.
